CSSF celebrates 25 years of leading cultural and educational programmes, providing opportunities for children to engage with Shakespeare. By taking part, children who might otherwise not benefit from creativity will walk taller, dream bigger, and develop the confidence they need to succeed in life.

Children across the UK are facing a crisis of access to the arts. At school, pupils from less privileged backgrounds are being left behind by their more affluent peers at primary and secondary levels. To close the ‘enrichment gap’ and build essential skills for life, teachers need more support, and arts provision must be in every school-accessible to all. CSSF’s work to develop young people’s confidence, aspiration and wellbeing, no matter their background, has never been more important.
CSSF supports schools to boost learners’ oracy, essential skills and self-esteem, resulting in better educational outcomes. Our transformative work includes teacher training, student workshops, curriculum resources and live performances. By overcoming the challenge of Shakespeare, every child can exceed expectations, inspiring pride in their teachers, families and themselves. Providing a stage, we ensure children have their voices heard and a chance to shine, developing life skills along the way
