The climate emergency is the biggest threat facing our planet and our countryside. But there is good news: by getting those in power to consider the competing demands on our land holistically, the countryside can offer solutions to the crisis. It can deliver the homes people need, the food we eat and the energy we need, as well as the beauty and nature we all know and love. Our countryside is a climate superpower, with the ability to both prevent and mitigate climate change if we manage it well.
Solution
We are the only charity that champions the value of the ordinary countryside – the countryside next door. We promote bold solutions for the countryside and think in a joined-up way about how to manage the multiple, competing demands on our finite land.
