Our rich musical experiences nurture infants' cognitive, social and emotional development and provide a joyful, supportive environment for new parents in disadvantaged communities. Our musicians inspire and entertain with all kinds of music whilst sensory experiences strengthen parent/child bonds.

Evidence shows that early investment in arts-based learning is lifelong, with better educational, employment and wellbeing outcomes, especially for the most disadvantaged children. 23.8% of Sheffield neighbourhoods are in the 10% most deprived nationally and for many children access to high-quality live music is limited by their social background or postcode. There is increasing evidence that being home with a tiny baby can be a lonely and overwhelming experience for lots of new parents.

Concerteenies for Babies, in partnership with Sheffield Family Hubs, provides free, accessible, high-quality live music for pre-crawling babies and their adults in disadvantaged areas. We create a relaxed, baby friendly atmosphere with music that is as enjoyable for adults as it is for children. We support bonding and wellbeing by encouraging parents to use different sensory elements (feathers, scarves, bubbles and percussion instruments) to really encourage their baby's response to the music.
