We deliver three interactive music programmes in schools to children aged 4-18. We believe that all young people, regardless of their socio-economic background, should have access to high quality artistic experiences, sparking a love of the arts and nurturing the creative talent of the future.

Situation
Government cuts to arts education within the state sector continue to have a detrimental effect on young people, particularly those living in rural areas. The decline of arts provision in primary and secondary schools and a 50% cut to arts courses in higher education since 2021, has resulted in a lack of diversity of education which is contributing to the mental health challenges of children and young people and significantly impacting the future of UK artists and audiences.
Solution
We deliver three interactive music programmes in schools: Singing Schools (age 4-11) Weekly singing lessons throughout the academic year led by our chorus masters. Playground Opera (age 4 -14) We abridge a well-known opera to a 45 minute production. Pupils explore the opera, rehearse with the professional cast and take part in a performance to teachers and peers. Opera workshops (age 12-18) Workshops with professional musicians and singers, exploring the opera and a visit to the dress rehearsal.
