The Festival aims to make children aware of and appreciate the world of music. We provide concerts for all ages, music workshops and a Schools' Massed Performance. 11 primaries and secondaries perform with Fantasia Orchestra. A musical Family Day attracts hundreds of local children and families.

Through our music education outreach programme, we know that children and families of limited means in Barnet struggle to access arts education. Feedback shows the importance of improving children’s happiness with music. Local schools have limited funds and time to provide sufficient musical opportunities. There are concerns about children’s mental health since the pandemic and families and schools regularly ask if we can offer solutions to improve the well-being of children through music.

Our mission is to fulfil the need for music in children’s lives. We provide a range of activities for early years and also supplement music in schools. Past projects are proved to have been beneficial and have brought joy to the children. As well as performances and workshops, we run a free Family Day including concerts for all ages; a Junk Orchestra Workshop, African drumming and concert platforms with local youth bands and orchestras. Last year’s education work reached over 1000 children.
