NCCGB is a happy and inclusive community. We support talented young people who love to sing. We help our choir members to find their voice both musically and socially by increasing their self-belief and improving their health and well-being. We want to help more children to find their voice.

Access to music education and particularly choirs and singing for young people is at an all-time low. In addition, we know that children and young people are struggling with confidence and finding their 'tribe' with a mental health and well-being crisis post pandemic that's affecting a whole generation. We know that not all children can benefit from the NCCGB experience due to social, financial and geographical barriers. We want to remove these barriers.

NCCGB empowers young people to achieve their potential. We help them find their own voice and to increase their self-confidence and gain independence at residential courses. Joining our choirs involves auditioning in person, and currently comes at a cost. To open this up to more children who love to sing, we want to offer free auditions in more areas of the country, and in more lower socio-economic areas. A better geographical spread will also reduce or remove travel costs to auditions.
