The arts have been decimated in schools across the country. Due to significant budget cuts, an increasing focus on STEM subjects, lack of curriculum time and a shrinking teacher workforce, creative subjects have ‘steadily eroded over the past decade’ (ISM, 2022). This has affected a whole generation of children, particularly those in areas of greatest disadvantage, who are being denied a high-quality arts education, vital to their learning, skills development, creativity and happiness.

We believe that every child in the country should have access to a world class arts education and that every teacher should feel confident to teach it. RBO Schools makes this a reality for thousands of children, by empowering teachers to deliver creative music, dance and art lessons, supported by CPD workshops, resources and interactive Live Lessons. Free-to-access for any state school, RBO Schools breaks down barriers to ballet and opera to give children their chance to be creative.
