We are a multi-form arts centre presenting high quality small-scale professional work across artforms, supporting local artists, and sharing our building with homelessness charity, Crisis. We work with a diverse range of people and communities and include people facing tough times in all our work.

Situation
Art and community can offer an outlet to people, a space to express ideas, experience art, dance, and performance. However, with the cost-of-living crisis, rates of homelessness are rising and the deepening of inequality in Oxford has become increasingly stark. For those with fewer resources, opportunities to understand and shape the world in which we live through stories, creativity and the arts, are often out of reach.
Solution
We provide a welcoming space for people to connect, learn, and shape our programmes. We’ll make a difference by offering training, events, and workshops for Crisis clients, the public, artists, students, and community groups—from sign language classes to LGBTQ+ youth groups to those with no recourse to public funds. Through affordable activities and project spaces, we’ll support early-career artists, expand cultural access, and invite communities to shape and take ownership of our programmes.
