The River Dee is a biodiversity hotspot but it is in decline, worsening water quality, habitat loss and climate change are all impacting the wildlife which lives within the river. The challenges include agricultural pollution, sewage discharges physical modification and more.

Our charity is actively working on the ground to enhance the health of the River Dee. This includes restoring 40 km of river habitat, reducing pollution from 80 farmyards, and repairing 150 polluting drains. Volunteer support plays a crucial role in addressing these challenges. This funding will enable us to expand our efforts, increasing the number of volunteer days and engaging more citizen scientists. Strengthening support for the trust will help us achieve our ambitious targets.
