Supported by volunteers and local artists, we’ll deliver a high quality programme, encouraging people to come together, have fun & express themselves. Situation
Rural Isolation is an issue as public transport becomes more fragmented and access to live arts harder. Our research shows that people love to see top quality shows in their community without having to travel to the city. We wish to employ local artists and support village halls while keeping ticket prices reasonable for residents of all ages. Our 2024 show ‘Rising Waters’ involving 1000 people tells us that people love to take part in creative activities and feedback shows they would like more
Solution
We will invite our community to join our Autumn Fringe Festival of affordable and free arts activities promoting community engagement and cultural participation. We will put on performances and workshops in village halls and community centres. There will be a range of high quality events - comedy, music, talks, creative writing, theatre - to appeal to everyone and support the personal, social and emotional wellbeing of people. We will create opportunities for people to come together creativley.
