We wish to raise £20,000 to support our programme of 12 community festivals across London and Essex - Summer in the Park - our community co-designed programme that reduces loneliness and isolation, fosters social cohesion, mutual understanding and cultural acceptance between communities.

Situation
Our areas are the most deprived 40% in England (HMRC: 2019), 2nd on the IMD, with 38% of residents living in social rented properties and 25% living in private rented accommodation (ONS Census: 2021). Who suffer geographical isolation: no public transport, lacking a web presence or 'tucked away'. BMC Health evidences a significant negative association between social cohesion, mental wellbeing and mental health-related quality of life, which is 92% more prevalent in low social-economic areas.
Solution
We believes in the power of community events, which act as a catalyst to promote understanding of social cohesion, they help create a world where diversity and individuality can be acknowledged, accepted and celebrated, via increased social prevision: * Sign posting to local services at the community markets, e.g libraries. * Sharing of cultural experiences via professional and community performances. * Co-designed festival where local voices are championed and heard * Culture on doorsteps
