Situation
Our projects will continue to address inequalities in provision of, and access to, cultural engagement around the LPO’s long standing residencies in Brighton and Eastbourne. People and communities thrive when they are engaged with culture, and music brings benefits that include improving skills, well-being, and overall health. Music enriches the fabric of local communities by encouraging sociable behaviour, bringing people together and increasing civic pride.
Solution
Building on successful models in 2024, we will continue to work collaboratively with local organisations to build and further develop sustainable, authentic partnerships at grassroots level, co-creating and delivering projects that meet the needs of the local communities. Combining the expertise of the LPO with the local understanding of partners, we have been able to expand on 2024's experiences and are now nurturing multi-partner collaborations that deliver meaning musical interventions.
