We're fundraising to support Syrian refugee, displaced and working children in Kurdistan, Iraq. Your contribution will provide education, play, psychosocial support, safe spaces, and advocacy. It will also support development of a foster care system and life-skills support for youth.

Situation
The Kurdistan region in Iraq is home to people forcibly displaced from neighbouring countries, where they face persecution and threats if they attempt to return. They endure prolonged displacement, trauma, and lost educational opportunities. The security situation in the Middle East has worsened impacting communities. Economic hardship in the region amplifies family stress, leading to increased risks of child protection issues like child marriage, labour, abuse, and neglect.
Solution
Our charity runs child-friendly spaces offering trauma recovery, child protection, development support, and education for children. We complement local schools and take a holistic approach to meet the needs of children in prolonged emergencies. Additionally, we strengthen long-term child protection through advocacy and training on child protection and foster care.
