Situation
We serve an area which includes the most deprived neighbourhood in West Oxfordshire (IMD2019) where: - Child Income Deprivation is in the worst 20% nationally, - Skills & attainment levels are in the worst 10% in the country - High levels of Domestic Abuse are reported and community lines drug dealing is prevalent - Rural Isolation means a 30mile round trip bus journey to Witney/Banbury to access support services which is a barrier and individuals and families are failing to thrive.
Solution
The Branch - a central community hub in the heart of Chipping Norton where we partner and innovate to deliver the services that those in our town and surrounding villages need to thrive. We pivot to respond to need, filling gaps in provision and addressing rural isolation. The Branch's trauma informed designed helps raise self-esteem and restore a sense of agency and hope to those experiencing debt, domestic abuse, poor mental health or simply seeking community and connection.
