Riverside Youth Club in Lewisham, London will reopen in early 2025 to serve hundreds of young people, but we have no equipment to bring their vision for it to life. Help us equip Riverside for talented, passionate young people to access opportunities they don’t have at home.

Situation
Since 2010, 750 youth clubs have closed in the UK. Youth clubs keep young people safe, increase wellbeing and help reach their potential. Riverside Youth Club has been a beacon of positivity for 60 years for 8-18s on Pepys Estate, Lewisham. The community rallied to save it from closure. Young people are leading reopening plans for early 2025. Sadly, our old equipment was damaged and the building will open empty. Funds raised will create the inspiring space and opportunities they all deserve.
Solution
Riverside Youth Club will provide the kind of facilities that local young people would not have otherwise: a 3G football pitch, changing rooms, revamped wellbeing, sports, technology, music and learning spaces. With extra funds, we can open the building with equipment and fittings for them to learn to cook, gain valuable life skills, play sport for free, pursue passions, and be off the streets. Young people are leading the consultation and planning. We need the funds to meet their vision.
