Oxygen provide individualised support to tackle disengagement from education, underachievement in education and other challenges which have come about as a result of unmet needs. We support young people to overcome a range of barriers including crime and offending; deprivation; mental health, Special Educational Needs and much more. Over the last three years we have received over 250 referrals of young people who are vulnerable or in need of specific support, often with high needs.

Support is provided by our skilled staff and volunteer team who have lived experience of the issues they are supporting young people through. Our mentoring is centred on positive adults building strong relationships with young people and working with them to improve their well being, achieve an agreed goal or overcome a specific challenge. Our creative approach to engagement helps to draw young people in. Many are choosing to engage through volunteering in our Shop or engage with us online.
