Situation
70% of disadvantaged young people will not meet the expected standards by the end of secondary school, limiting their opportunities to go on to further education, training or employment. This inequality leads to poorer life chances for those who need most support, limiting their ability to fulfil their potential. Most young people don't have the opportunity to talk to a trusted adult outside their family / school about their aspirations and strengths or supporting them to achieve their goals.
Solution
We believe positive futures begin with self-belief. Our award-winning, youth coaching programmes provide personalised coaching, skill workshops and two inspirational trip days (over 12 months) to develop young people's key skills and increase their motivation and engagement in school, whilst supporting them to identify how to achieve their goals and aspirations. We will support another 350 young people aged 8-16 year olds across London and the South East of England.
