Amidst the urgent crises of climate change, deforestation, and poverty, our grassroots initiative provides a direct and transformative solution. Through reintroducing native trees to degraded lands in the Amazon, we tackle these challenges directly.

We are addressing the interlinked problems of climate change, biodiversity loss, and poverty in the Amazon. The most effective and immediate action to mitigate global warming is planting trees in the tropics, where they grow fastest and absorb CO2 most efficiently. Peru’s forests, among the most deforested globally, suffer primarily due to a cycle of poverty. Farmers, driven by necessity, clear rainforests for crops and cattle grazing, exacerbating environmental degradation.

Our approach mitigates climate change by planting trees to reforest the Peruvian Amazon, a vital carbon sink.We also build local communities' skills and capacity to manage these trees and generate sustainable incomes. By empowering smallholder farmers to transition from slash-and-burn agriculture to sustainable farming practices, we help protect the rainforest, enhance biodiversity, and provide a viable economic alternative to deforestation, addressing the root cause of environmental degradation
