National Orchestra for All (NOFA) is the most accessible and inclusive youth orchestra in the UK, with 100 young people who have experienced barriers to group music-making. Our free of charge, non-auditioned orchestra enables young people to reach their musical, social & personal potential.

Beneficiaries
Not all young people have equal access to music. Many are unable to take part due to logistical, financial, geographical, personal & cultural barriers. Music education cuts, falling teacher numbers & reducing family funds for extracurricular activities means fewer disadvantaged young people can access music education. Meanwhile, the benefits of group music-making are more important than ever, with more young people experiencing isolation, disrupted education, mental & physical health challenges.
NOFA residentials welcome young people most in need: those from isolated or deprived communities & those living with physical or mental health conditions, learning difficulties or within the care system – challenges that mean traditional ensemble music-making opportunities are not accessible to them. To remove access barriers, we provide bespoke wellbeing support, cover all transport, accommodation & meal costs; & create musical arrangements that cater to all instruments & abilities.
