The trees at Chiswick House & Gardens matter because:- *they provide vital food, shelter and breeding space for a vast array of wildlife and are central to the biodiversity of Chiswick House & Gardens and the local area. *They lock up carbon dioxide and help keep our air clean. Many of the trees here have been doing that for over 200 years. *They are beautiful and good for us! Studies have shown that spending time with trees reduces stress, improves mood and sharpens mental clarity.

Together we can ensure that they continue to flourish. The Tree Fund will directly support the work that ensures the long-term health and resilience of trees right across the gardens, including:-- • Annual survey ensuring the trees are safe as well as healthy. • Managing the veteran trees for longevity, maintaining vital habitats for as long as possible. • Encouraging juvenile growth and creating ideal environments by pollarding & pruning etc. • Planting trees for future generations to enjoy.
