Due to extremely challenging circumstances such as fleeing war and conflict, displacement, and the impacts of climate change, many performers and creatives are unable to fulfill their potential in creating art, theatre, and performances. Some face medical needs, have families to support, or are grappling with inflation and a lack of resources. We step in to provide vital grants when they are needed most. Additionally, we connect artists with partner charities whenever possible.

SafetyCurtain distributes hardship grants to performers facing extremely challenging circumstances. We support individual performers and theatre groups who have nowhere else to turn, providing funds and assistance to help them continue their art. Our trustees, with their expertise in the challenges faced by international performers, proactively suggest support and accept unsolicited requests. Often, we are the only charity able to provide immediate aid in times of crisis.
