Facial disfigurement is a globally neglected human rights issue; 1 in 111 people affected. Facing stigma, discrimination, and exclusion in an appearance-obsessed world. Over 60% in the UK experience hostile behaviour, and a third face job discrimination and hate crimes. Despite some disability protections, legislation often falls short. Globally, individuals face severe human rights violations. FEI combats these issues by promoting face equality and advocating for anti-discrimination policies.

FEI combats discrimination through consistent, collaborative actions. We run Face Equality Week and an annual forum to raise awareness and foster change. We offer public education resources via our Education Hub and consult with communities to create impactful campaigns. Our initiatives aim to advocate for face equality as a human rights issue, empower the facial difference community, and eliminate stigma through public education, strategic advocacy, and collaboration with key sectors.
