Situation
Our evidence-based work clearly demonstrates the need for activities that alleviate loneliness, isolation & mental health issues, whilst providing a lifelong appreciation of orchestral music for the next generation of concert goers/professional musicians. Engagement with the arts has a positive effect on wellbeing & health, on the economy, lives of individuals, and for communities, with a direct impact on mood, reduced stress levels & depression in the over 50's.
Solution
By delivering 250+ inspirational workshops that are free to recipients in regional primary & SEND schools, at SENSE TouchBase Pears (a centre for people with complex disabilities), Acorns Children's Hospice & through Café Muse (our dementia-friendly participative café for marginalised/rural communities) with regional partners. Through high-quality, live & digital concert programmes & recordings that straddle multiple art forms, supported by free online education/dementia-friendly resources.
