Funds would enable us to run a brand new Rebound project for disabled children. Many children are unable to access rebound therapy in the region, however we have the specialised equipment and a qualified physio in place. We would offer free sessions to 40 children, comprising 8 sessions per child

We offer a range of therapies to children across the whole North East region who are physically disabled and/or have neurological problems and are unable to complete everyday tasks most take for granted. There are extremely limited options for pre-school and mainstream children to access rebound therapy, as it is not offered by many NHS providers or schools. This is a hugely beneficial form of therapy which helps by facilitating movement, promoting balance, improving posture and muscle tone.

Rebound therapy is a unique form of therapy using a full sized trampoline to promote motor skills, body awareness, balance, co-ordination and communication. It is hugely beneficial to children who cannot access more conventional therapy. We would like to secure funds to offer free weekly blocks of rebound therapy to 40 children, comprising of 8 week blocks. For all blocks we will offer an assessment, 6 sessions with our physio and a post assessment to review the progress of each child.
