ICM's Christmas campaign aims to uplift communities living in the Westgate Ward, Ipswich a top 10% most deprived area in the UK. This campaign will help ICM offer Free ESOL lessons, youth projects for young people at risk, mental health support, and creativity to empower our diverse community.

    Living in Westgate Ward, Ipswich involves numerous challenges stemming from significant deprivation. The community grapples with income struggles, unemployment, limited educational opportunities, health disparities, & mental health issues. Furthermore, diverse groups such as refugees, migrants, & Roma face additional obstacles like language barriers & integration difficulties. To uplift the community & tackle these pressing concerns, targeted support is essential.

    Addressing challenges faced by the community requires targeted initiatives. Our free ESOL language learning programme is designed to eliminate language barriers, equipping participants with essential communication skills that enhance employment prospects/social integration. For young people at risk of gang involvement/ & or risky behaviours, projects such as South Street Kids, New Gen, & Making Waves provide creative, developmental, & engaging opportunities. "Free" ensures accessibility.
