Situation
The beneficiaries of Teens Unite, young people diagnosed with cancer, have complex health and wellbeing needs. These include managing the physical effects of their illness and treatment, such as fatigue, pain, and compromised immune systems. Additionally, they face significant mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and social isolation, stemming from prolonged hospital stays and disruptions to their normal life and education.
Solution
Teens Unite offers in-person and digital workshops including career readiness, mental health support, and social activities. These include CV writing, mentoring, sports, outdoor activities, creative workshops, and peer support groups, along with residential stays and events, all designed to help young people with cancer develop skills, build resilience, and maintain their wellbeing.
