Each year we aim to ensure that no vulnerable child is forgotten or overlooked by collecting and distributing gifts at this festive time. Without our help, these children & their families will experience a lonely time, made more acute when festivities envelope the world around them.

Situation
We want to share festive fun & gift giving with as many of the 25,000 children (officially) living below the poverty line as possible in Barnet, one of London’s largest boroughs. Without our help, these children & their families may experience yet another lonely, isolating & empty Christmas, without a visit from Santa or any trusted adult in the wider community, made more painful given that the world around them seems to be shining with glitter & feasting.
Solution
As the only children’s infrastructure charity of its kind in Barnet, Young Barnet Foundation has established networks with more than 200 grassroots & community organisations supporting young people across the borough. Working together, we ensure that those most in need receive something lovely, feel less alone & access much-needed help with a trusted community group at time of increased financial & family stress.
