Our vision is a welcoming community where families are empowered to raise happy, healthy, independent children who grow up to fulfil their lives and engage fully with society. Through intensive 1:1 family worker support and complementary outreach activities, we strive to make this vision a reality

Cambridge is the UK's most unequal city. Vulnerable children and families in poverty confront significant challenges exacerbated by stark wealth disparities and a 10-year life expectancy gap between affluent and deprived areas. Issues such as poor mental health and educational disengagement persist, perpetuating cycles of poverty and social exclusion. Other services often employ short-term strategies that fail to effectively engage these families or address underlying, long-term needs.

We provide crucial, long-term consistent help to vulnerable families in Cambridge by providing personalised 1:1 support from our highly trained family workers and complementary outreach activities, for example our drop-ins & trips. This approach prevents crises, mental health issues and educational disengagement, equipping families with resources for sustainable improvement. Unlike short-term solutions, we address root causes effectively to foster lasting positive change in the community.
