People experiencing homelessness face mental health problems, barriers and past traumas as they battle for survival and a way out. These gravely lower engagement with support services. By offering meaningful wellbeing activities we will improve their mental health and how they engage with support.

Most people experiencing homelessness suffer from poor mental health, isolation, past traumas and often addictions. These lead to low self-esteem, depression, chaotic behaviour, complex needs and when combined with the stresses and challenges they face through homelessness it can make it very hard for individuals to engage with the support and healthcare services they need to recover from homelessness.

Creativity, expression, friendship and self-discovery have been shown to improve people’s mental health. We aim to improve people’s mental health, grow their self-esteem and social networks through meaningful wellbeing activities and sessions to help improve their mental health. Through arts, day trips, cooking classes, support meetings and more we aim to improve the mental health of the people we support to help them better engage with support and help them on their journey off the streets.
