Christmas can be magical, but, at a price; according to the Bank of England families spend 29% more in December than at other times of the year. For the 40% of Southwark children in food poverty Christmas magic is hard to come by and for their parents, there is the emotional pressure to make Christmas special even though they simply don't have the money. For children in poverty, Christmas will be like any other day - no delicious food, no presents and no special festive memories.

We believe no child should have to go without, especially at Christmas. Our Christmas hampers contain everything for Christmas dinner for the whole family as well as presents. Your donations will help us ensure that the families who receive hampers will not go hungry over Christmas. We will also use your donations to provide presents for every child, sometimes, these will be the only presents the children receive, so they will have the thrill of tearing open a gift especially for them.
