For the past 10 years we have enabled the local community to get out on the River Thames and be more active. With your help we can purchase two new teaching boats so more people from all backgrounds can learn to row and provide free club memberships and coaching for underserved young people.

Situation
The River Thames is an immense open blue space running through London. Despite the many benefits of being active on open water, not everyone has equal access to it. This lack of inclusivity has a negative impact on people’s mental, physical & emotional health. People are less active making them prone to long-term health conditions. It denies them of the opportunity to meet & connect with others & be part of the community - all factors which enable people to reach their full potential.
Solution
We want to actively break down barriers and foster inclusivity, making the river and the sport of rowing accessible to all regardless of their background. Two new boats will be available to the whole community including school children, people with disabilities & those from underserved communities. Young people from disadvantaged backgrounds will have the opportunity to continue to enjoy & develop their passion for the sport with free memberships to our fun, friendly & inclusive club.
