Imagine having to leave your home, friends and family and flee to another country because of war. You finally reach safety alone in England, but people around you don’t understand what you’ve been through. Rebuilding your life seems almost impossible while you could be sent back home to danger or put in detention. You urgently need relief from your stresses, to find friends and an outlet to express yourself in a positive way while you navigate the complex asylum system and “hostile environment”.

We will facilitate refugees & safety seekers aged 14-25 newly arrived from war zones to improve wellbeing through creativity, make new friends and develop skills together. Professional music facilitators from Ukraine, Ethiopia, Syria, Iran, Iraq, England, Ireland, Afghanistan co-create uplifting sessions with games, dancing, singing & songwriting in many languages. Most participants have never made music before, but develop to create compelling music, shared through music videos & performances.
