Your donations will fund care over a 4-day Christmas period for adults with terminal and life-limiting illness in the Hillingdon community. Families will be able to spend quality time together to create memories, pull crackers, open gifts, listen to music and enjoy a last Christmas together.

Situation
Living with a life-limiting or terminal illness is extremely stressful for both the patient and their loved ones. Indeed many families are coming to terms with the fact that this Christmas may be their last one together. The staff team always strive to create a friendly, positive and supportive environment, treating everyone as an individual and recognising that the challenges will impact significantly on different people in different ways. We want to make every second count over Christmas 24.
Solution
Alongside medical and nursing care, we will provide personalised wellbeing activities to help them to enjoy the festive period together - patients even with the most complex needs do not have to be in hospital. We will understand what is meaningful to them and their families, and we will make this happen. Christmas is a special time at our Inpatient Unit - decorations, entertainment, a full Christmas dinner. We create a real home-from-home atmosphere to make lasting positive memories for all.
