We are raising funds to buy technical drafting tables to help the poorest girls at our Sisters of Mary school in Biga to learn technical drawing. With the right equipment, the girls can have equal access to these classes, gain their national certificate and find good jobs in science and engineering.

There are good jobs in The Philippines for children with science & engineering skills. Without relevant training at school, poor girls struggle to access these jobs. We teach Technical Drafting NCII at our two girls' schools in the Philippines so that more of the regions' poorest girls can equally learn the skills essential for these jobs but our Biga girls' school lacks the technical drafting tables which are vital to help our girls learn & practice the drafting skills needed in these roles.
A local Philippine manufacturer has offered us a discount for 60 technical drafting tables for our Biga girls. With these, girls in grades 11 & 12 can learn the practical skills needed for a career in technical design and engineering. The girls can practice drafting architectural, electrical or plumbing layouts and mechanical drawings using manual drafting methods and preparing drawings for CAD. These skills are needed for good local jobs as technical designers & draughts women in this country.
