9 out of 10 women in the sex industry want to leave but see no way out. The psychological impact is significant and wide-ranging, with many survivors experiencing severe anxiety, depression, flashbacks, PTSD, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties. Trauma therapy is instrumental in enabling survivors to move from being victimised to being empowered. Yet, access to appropriate counselling support is challenging, with limited specialist services and long waiting lists for statutory support.

Orchards fills this gap by providing safe, non-judgemental therapeutic spaces where survivors can process what they have been through. Our in-house qualified counsellors are experienced working with sexual trauma; an interpreting service is available where needed to remove language barriers to accessing support. We are now growing our face-to-face counselling and wellbeing events in South London, East London and East Sussex and our online counselling reaching women right across the UK.
