Funds raised will enable us to keep providing free support and information to anyone affected by ovarian cancer, including people diagnosed, or those at risk, family and friends and the medical and healthcare professionals. It will help us raise awareness of symptoms as there is no screening test.

Situation
Ovarian cancer will ‘affect 1 in 50 women in their lifetime’. Symptoms are vague and there is no screening programme, unfortunately the majority of people are diagnosed at a late stage. Treatment can be complex and many people find the systems and options difficult to navigate. Many are also living with compromised immunity and may not be able to access support locally. It is a less common cancer which means a lot of people would never meet someone else with a diagnosis and feel very isolated.
Solution
We provide free information and support to anyone affected by ovarian cancer. We support people through our various support services as well as our support groups, health and wellbeing days across the UK, online programme of regular workshops, monthly clinical talks and webinars delivered by experts and a range of 50 expert reviewed factually accurate information booklets, PIF TICK accredited. We work with the clinical community and community groups to ensure people are signposted to Ovacome.
