Borneo’s peat-swamp rainforest is full of some of the largest carbon stores on the planet, every year this carbon burns impacting life everywhere - dams are the answer! Help us dam illegal logging canals to rewet the peat once again protecting people, wildlife and the future of all life on Earth.

Situation
We're helping to fight the biggest problem humanity has ever faced: the climate crisis. Our project aims to stop annually reoccurring, globally significant, life-limiting, toxic smoke emitting peat-fires from starting in the first place. Illegally dug canals used to export timber out the forest have drained the once wet peat, creating serious fire risks. Fires impact already vulnerable local communities the most and the forest full of rare wildlife like the orangutan and clouded leopard.
Solution
We build robust, long-lasting dams to rewet the forest once again. Dams help restore peat-swamp rainforest to its natural, carbon protecting and life supporting state, creating healthy futures for people, wildlife and the planet as a whole. We dam together with local communities, informed by years of damn good research and monitoring, all made from sustainable materials to raise the water table and stop the flow of water out the forest. This simple idea makes for damn good, long lasting impact.
