St Michael’s Hospice provides specialist, palliative care to adults in Hastings and Rother who have a progressive, life-limiting illness. We recognise the challenges the festive season can bring and aim to provide an opportunity to create precious memories and festive cheer.

The festive season can be an especially significant time for patients with progressive, life-limiting illnesses and their family and friends. The reality is that this may be the last Christmas for many of the people we support. We want to ensure that we have the resources necessary to not only offer the specialist palliative care our patients need but also a sprinkling of festive cheer to really make it count.

We will make Christmas as comfortable and joyful as it can be for the patients on our In-Patient Unit. This includes providing a festive, warm and welcoming environment for patients and their family and friends to spend time together. We’ll also support those who may not have people close by. Our multi-disciplinary team will continue to provide the specialist, personalised care the patient needs.
