Ensure garment workers are respected in fashion supply chains and brands are held accountable for the human rights abuses and environmental harm they profit from. LBL will continue to put pressure on brands whilst also working to improve laws so that workers are considered and respected.

The problem is clear: we can't rely on big fashion to regulate itself. The global fashion industry is notorious for rights violations and sweatshop conditions. The industry is modelled on exploitation: exploiting labour and natural resources for the profit of fashion companies. Fashion brands maximise profits by constantly searching for cheaper production sites around the world. This practice drives down prices, igniting a global race to the bottom which prioritises profit over people.

Brands avoid accountability by hiding where their garments are made and who makes them. LBL works to uncover supply chains and liaise with brands to improve conditions for their workers. We put pressure on brands so when rights abuses occur, we hold them accountable and seek remedy for workers. When brands don’t listen, we go public with our campaigns and actions.
