A quarter (24%) of all children in Leeds are grappling with poverty, a challenge worsened by the ongoing the current cost-of-living crisis. As a result, holidays, day trips, safe spaces any fun engaging experiences are not accessible for many young children. With growing levels of poverty, and increasing need for safe spaces, there is a pressing need for Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm to continue providing essential provisions for disadvantaged children across the city.

At the farm, children experience many things for the first time—feeding and caring for animals, reaching new goals, learning how to ride a bike, wandering through woodlands, paddling through streams. These experiences help children form new perspectives and outlooks, giving them the confidence to realise their full potential and thrive both at school and home. A stay at Lineham Farm is filled with adventure, fun and learning, all in a safe and happy environment – it’s childhood as it should be!
