We are raising funds towards our services for people seeking sanctuary in the local area who have had their asylum claim refused. We provide clients with secure, dignified accommodation, monthly cash payments towards living costs and a bespoke, trauma-informed casework service.

Situation
People who have been refused asylum in the UK do not have the right to employment, housing or benefits, whilst many also lack an established social support network. Having already escaped unimaginable horrors such as war or persecution, they are left destitute and homeless. Many people join our support having spent multiple nights on the streets, where they are at risk of crime, exploitation and health problems, and even those who sofa-surf often face precarious or overcrowded conditions.
Solution
We will give our clients secure, comfortable living conditions by allocating them a room in one of our shared houses or with a volunteer host. We will also provide them with regular cash payments towards food, clothing and other essentials. As well as meeting their basic human needs, this will bring the stability that they need to engage with other agencies such as legal advice services, making it possible to challenge their uncertain legal status and begin to rebuild their lives.
