The cost-of-living crisis and rising costs of extracurricular activities prevent many families from affording programmes like Perth Youth Theatre (PYT). This financial barrier deprives children of crucial opportunities for social connection, creative expression, and personal growth. Bursaries for PYT, Mainstage performances, Summer School and Production Skills programmes ensure that all children, regardless of financial background, can access and benefit from these transformative experiences.

By providing bursaries, we enable young people from low-income families to participate in our arts programmes, addressing social inequality and ensuring access to cultural education. These bursaries also support mental health by offering a creative outlet, building skill development in teamwork and communication, and promoting community engagement. Early exposure to the arts can also inspire future career opportunities, making these bursaries vital for holistic child development.
