BDD affects 1 in 50 people, leading to severe emotional distress and very commonly, social isolation. Around 30% of people with BDD will find themselves housebound at some point in the course of their illness. When unable to leave the house, your chance of connecting with others, and hearing positive stories of recovery, is reduced. This podcast aims to provide a source of community, hope and connection.

The Beating BDD Podcast combats the isolation many in our community feel due to the severity, shame, and stigma of the condition. 68% of survey respondents report engaging with the podcast, but we're currently unable to produce more episodes due to funding. With consistently positive feedback, listeners feel less alone, more hopeful, connected and learn coping strategies. By sharing diverse stories of triumph, we can reach a global audience, demonstrating that recovery is absolutely possible.
