The local challenges are food insecurity and limited livelihood opportunities for refugee women and youth in Rhino Camp and Imvepi Refugee Settlements in Uganda. These groups struggle with inadequate access to financial services, vocational training and sustainable agricultural training, resulting in insufficient income, economic instability and poor nutrition. Many refugees in Rhino Camp depend on humanitarian aid for their basic needs, which creates a cycle of poverty.

Our comprehensive livelihood support programme will: Form and train Community Savings and Credit Groups to provide access to social insurance, savings and credit, with ongoing mentoring. Develop and deliver training on mindset change, business skills, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Train on climate-smart agriculture. Distribute quality inputs and support agriculture management. Offer vocational training through local artisans, business planning, development, start-up with mentoring.
