Having a criminal record can create barriers to employment, education, training, housing, finance and many other areas. The complex and sometimes contradictory legalities of disclosure of criminal records often lead to confusion and misunderstanding, which can entrench prejudices and hold people back from moving on from their past. People with a criminal record are often desperate to turn their lives around and make a positive contribution to society but are often prevented from doing so.

We will provide expert information, advice and support via phone, WhatsApp, email and by letter. This service will be delivered by people with lived experience of a criminal record who are empathetic and understanding of the issues people are facing. Our support includes answering enquiries such as 1) how to disclose a criminal record to an employer 2) Is my conviction spent or unspent? 3) What will appear on my criminal record check? 4) Can I work or enter education again with a criminal record
