7 neighbourhoods in Arun were among the 20% most income-deprived in England, with Bognor Regis being the most deprived (Census 2021). Chichester has an above average income and employment deprivation (both 22.5%), education, skills and training deprivation (13.5%), and crime deprivation and barriers to housing and services (both 9.3%). We support women in the community struggling against social and economic disadvantage, often with mental health conditions and at risk of domestic abuse.

Our primary service is specific support for medium-risk domestic abuse cases; this includes IDVA's (Independent Domestic Violence Advocate), peer groups, a triage service and 1 to 1's. However, MSH also offers free counselling, food bank vouchers, Christmas gifting, wellbeing walks, craft clubs, art groups, finance and housing advocacy and an employment and wellbeing service called Thrive. MSH also has an Eastern European Complex Needs team who specialise in domestic abuse in these communities.
