Situation
There are not enough specialist services for children with cerebral palsy (CP) in Scotland. We are the only charity in Scotland dedicated to people with cerebral palsy. One in every 400 births will result in a diagnosis of CP. There is no cure, but therapy can influence development and is the most important treatment. Many children are unable to access therapy, due to socio-economic barriers. We want to ensure that every child with CP in Scotland has access to therapy to help them thrive.
Solution
We want to ensure that each child with CP in Scotland has access to specialist therapy. Your support will enable us to deliver intensive therapy for children with CP delivered by our team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapist and clinical psychologist. We will provide support to children and their families. We will identify families who need help by working with allied professionals to ensure we are supporting hard to reach families.
