For 20 years Lost Dog has been creating and touring shows - funny, provocative, unexpected, unpredictable, and occasionally hearbreaking shows - widely and well; with consideration for our planet, care for our staff and performers and generosity towards our audiences.

At its heart theatre touring is about taking work to audiences wherever they may be. But theatre touring in the UK is in crisis. Spiralling costs coupled with lower post covid attendance and the strain on family budgets means that it’s almost impossible to make a UK tour financially viable. Geography is as much a barrier to arts engagement in the 21st Century as it was 100 years ago, with schools unable to afford transport and producers choosing to stick to less risky towns and cities.

Lost Dog celebrates the temporary communities that are created every time and wherever an audience gathers in person. For 20 years, our shows – epic in scope & subject, conversational & intimate in tone – have toured to theatres, village halls, arts centres, festivals, fields & even barns. It is not the location but the act of gathering that counts. We are raising funds to sustain the breadth and depth of our touring networks and to create a new solo show for small-scale venues across the UK.
