Situation
While raising a child is never a small feat, for many in London the pressures are multiplied. Essentials are becoming unaffordable for more and more families, and many are facing complete destitution. Far too many children are going without beds, blankets, warm clothes, books and toys. This robs children of the start in life they deserve and places unthinkable stress on parents - particularly during the cold winter and festive period which for so many of us is a time of joy.
Solution
Via our network of baby banks we pass on loved goods from one family to another, so that many more babies and young children have the essentials they need to thrive. From baby grows to bedding, buggies to books, each bundle is carefully tailored to the needs of each child and packed with love and care. This Christmas we are adding a supermarket voucher too, so parents can choose something extra such as food or a gift. These 'bundles of joy' can be delivered to homes or collected from our hubs.
