Children today face huge pressures, from lost learning and childhood experiences due to the pandemic, to financial strains, instability, and anxieties exacerbated by social media. The prevalence of probable mental disorders in children has reached unprecedented levels (NHS 2022), and 1 in 5 are now regularly absent from school (DfE 2023). Children’s social, behavioral and academic outcomes - and their future chances - are at risk, with the most vulnerable disproportionately affected.

Our programme, including a powerful residential & follow-up, welcomes children to help run one of our 5, soon to be 6, working livestock farms alongside a therapeutic, family approach. Time on the farm, with limited technology, allows children to play, discover their potential and new skills, and connect with the natural world. Through partnership work, we also support teaching professionals to renew their motivation & enrich their practice to help better support vulnerable children nationwide.
